The new landscaped roof terrace and external green space for the building are designed to provide well focused workspace and drive biodiversity.
The new building fabric has been designed to meet LETI U-Values.
Different materials have been explored to reduce the amount of embodied carbon and consideration on ease of dismantling/recycling. This has been balanced with the sensitivity of the elevations within a conservation area.
Conversations have been undertaken about the possibility of using recycled steel for the structure, to reduce the embodied carbon. Consideration about the construction typology.
Where possible SFS has been utilised over masonry, as a result of the better embodied carbon and recyclability.
